Mountain lovers will be delighted to leave Munich, which is around 70 kilometers away, to the left and devote themselves to the mighty peaks and ridges of the nearby Alpine chain: the view extends to the Ammergau Alps, the Hörnle and the Ettaler Manndl in the southwest, the Wetterstein mountains with Zugspitze and Alpspitze in the south as well as the Estergebirge and the Walchensee mountains Heimgarten and Herzogstand in the southeast.
