The selection of dishes includes, in accordance with the new Bavarian kitchen style of Executive Chef Claus Gromotka, down-to-earth specialities from the region in combination with refined international products at the highest level. The former restaurants Reiterzimmer and Hoffmanns now form a unified whole again. Every day, the completely newly revised menu contains changing dishes with Bavarian and international character, and a connoisseur menu. The kitchen team uses regional structures to purchase fresh produce daily using Murnau as a base. Epicures will not have to forego occasional international highlights such as Nebraska beef or monkfish, but the focus is clearly upon products from the region. The attractive wine cellar with more than 900 items of wine from the world's best vineyards is still, however, a flagship of the Alpenhof. With Guarino Tugnoli, the Alpenhof has had a top-class sommelier at its disposal for three decades. With its wide spectrum of wines, the striking combination of types and the absolute harmony between food and beverages, the restaurant's 2016 wine menu was again awarded the "Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence".
